Yearning 只待樹成蔭

靈感 – 2019年底在澳洲發生的森林大火。然後我們被Coronavirus打擊。我們製作了另一首由男歌手演唱的歌曲：期待樹成蔭
Inspiration – the massive bushfire we had in Australia at the end of 2019. Then we are hit by the pandemic. We made another version of the song, sung by a male vocalist: Longing.

Back-translation

Take a look at the trees, they grow to give shade, with birds nesting there.
The forest is thick and the animals are lively.
Suddenly, machinery arrived and the trees are gone, the animals become desperate.
Fire ravages the forest, birds struggle.

It’s sad that we had two years of drought, one month of fire.
Forests turn to ash, animals become corpses.
I cry for the years of destroying trees, the century of pollution.
Thousand of trees turn to ash, million of animals become corpses.

I hate that trapped animals become desperate, poison damages the living.
We are surviving alone, cut off from the world.
We breathe to try to get rid of the poisoned air, try to make the family and country live in peace.
Our heart is broken, the situation has worsened.

Can only wait for rain to come, so the trees grow again to give shade.
Don’t need to isolate from the world, we can embrace the warmth of family.

Pity that we had one year of damage, three months of sickness.
Forests turn to ash, animals become corpses.
I grieve a century of trapped animals, ten years of fire.
Thousand of trees turn to ash, millions of animals become corpses.

Can only wait for rain to come, so the trees grow again to give shade.
Don’t need to isolate from the world, we can embrace the warmth of family.
